Hello 2006! I like how this year looks. 2006. I feel like 2005 was just waiting to be 2006 all year... I don't know why... Maybe, being born in a year ending with 6, I am naturally predispositioned to enjoy years ending in 6 a lot more... we shall see...
I'm going skiing with Danielle and Katie tomorrow night!! I'm uber excited, because we (family, visiting from Nebraska) tried to go skiing last week and by the time we got up into the mountains it started snowing so hard that we just decided to turn around. It was a bummer, but now.... YAY!
2005 in Review, albeit a poor review
1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before? Sooo much stuff... Went to Africa, bombed a semester at college, slept on a train, other things that I will not here list.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? don't make em.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth? I don't think so.....
4. Did anyone close to you die? Colleen, my dog.
5. What countries did you visit? Egypt, Italy, France, The Netherlands. <3
6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005? better grades, money.
7. What dates from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? I don't have a mind for dates really... but December 21st was my first 1 year anniversary... how sweet was that...
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? I guess it was doing kind of well in German class last semester... I guess it wasn't a big year for achievement.
9. What was your biggest failure? There were about 3 of them on my report card... not countin the D.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury? Just your standard allergies and a bit of pink eye, but other than that it was a fabulously healthy year.
11. What was the best thing you bought? Hmmmm...
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? Lots of people... Mike did lots of good, Lots of my friends graduated and went to college and did well there, there are more but I don't even know why I'm trying to fill these out right now because it's only hurting my brain...
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Hmm... nobody I think...
14. Where did most of your money go? right on up in smoke...
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Travelling to Africa, living with Michael, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, other various movies, going back to school.
16. What song will always remind you of 2005? Sugar (Gimme Some), Wait (whisper song), SO MANY MORE..... I give up...
17. Compared to this time last year, are you:
- happier or sadder? Hmm... probably happier. My happiness just grows.
- thinner or fatter? thinner, for sure.
- richer or poorer? got my first job.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? homework, studying.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? worrying, judging
20. How did you spend Christmas? With my family at home in Colorado, a rarity.
22. Did you fall in love in 2005? more every day.
23. How many one-night stands? no.
24. What was your favorite TV program? Lost. Runners up include Real World Road Rules challenges, Mythbusters sometimes, and the Amazing Race Family Edition. BLACK FAMILY!
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? I really don't think I hate anyone.
26. What was the best book you read? Most of the Da Vinci Code. I'm still working on it...
27. What was your greatest musical discovery? oh god.... I don't know.
28. What did you want and get? Travel, new iPod, love
29. What did you want and not get? hmm... I guess I always get what I want...
30. What was your favorite film of this year? oh gee... Harry Potter was amazing... Brokeback Mountain was beautiful... Batman Begins was sooo entertaining, Corpse Bride was wonderful... I know there are so many more.
31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 18 until 3:01 AM on September 4th, I really didn't do much of anything...
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? I don't know about immeasurably, I'm pretty good at measuring, but doing better in school would have been nice, as would have being able to spend more time with you-know-who (not Voldemort)
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005? better and better... but still relaxed. Year of the t-shirts and jackets. <3
34. What kept you sane? music, my friends, recreation.
35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most? I recently defined my top three as:
- Hugh Jackman
- Jake Gyllenhaal
- Nick Hexxum (311)
36. What political issue stirred you the most? I'm not easily stirred by such matters.
37. Who did you miss? mike, tons.
38. Who was the best new person you met? I met SO MANY new people at school on 4 North Harrison that I cannot pick just one.
39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005. Do not worry about who is watching, live every day to the fullest.

P.S. Roll Bounce kinda sucked. I guess I should have seen that coming.

Nice entry though. And I was like 'When did Parker go to Africa'?. Why the hell do I never equate 'Egypt' and 'Africa'. I guess its all the booze and episodes of Ab Fab...whatever.
